It is past 1250 and I did get any Aztec invasion!?

You can't get an Aztec invasion without the Bead Traders event first firing. It can fire starting in 1250, but has a mean time to happen of 720 months (60 years). The invasion even can then fire starting 730 days after that, with a mean time to happen of 6 months.
1250 is just the earliest possible date for it to happen. Most of the time it will be somewhat after that. It's more fun if you don't know exactly when it's coming.
