I usually play other Paradox games, but I'm taking a go at CK II here for a bit. Playing as Wessex -> England/Ireland/Wales heading for Britannia.
1) Cultural buildings vanish on culture change and never come back even if your leader's culture reverts. Thousands of wasted gold. Not cool, and no warning or explanation of what's happened, had to google it to find out.
2) Despite law not allowing titles to pass out of realm, Germany usurped Essex. How? I still have no idea - they didn't own any provinces in the UK region. I had to wait for a German revolt to end and then it took 2 wars to get the two provinces back from the petty kingdom that resulted from the revolt.
3) Viking raiders. Its whack-a-mole, and there's seriously nothing I can do in response? How is it I get no CB for this? Really? I'm pretty sure sacking their capital would be warranted, at a minimum. Give me something to do to punish them, because defeating their constant raids does nothing at all.
4) Can't press multiple de jure claims. Why not? It makes for seriously slow going in reclaiming de jure lands when one realm owns multiple provinces. At this point, the game's getting a bit boring raiding pictland for one province at a time every 10 years while playing Viking whack-a-mole in the meantime.
5) Bishop council notifications. Why is this a major notification? It doesn't affect me in any way I can tell.
6) There should be some way of telling what laws - especially succession - you start the game with in the country select screen. I tried a couple of countries and spent the first few decades sorting out the inheritance and other laws. Then I picked Wessex and surprise, awesome laws already.
7) Council power/authority. This keeps coming up in tooltips, but nowhere does it really explain what this means.
8) Mercenary companies. I had a few of these events, the tooltips gave no clue as to what the effect was. It wasn't until I noticed that my armies had shrunk that I saw the -30% levies on my holdings. That needs to be way clearer. It would also be helpful to have the ability to order a company to disband at the next available opportunity rather than having to check constantly to see if their contract is over.
