Not sure if this is already a known bug or not but I am running into an issue any time new colonists are accepted into the colony. They are not being identified as a Carrier even though they have not been assigned as an actual Worker. Instead it looks like the game is identifying them as actual Workers from the get go.

I've always been under the impression that any colonists with a blank Workplace is identified as a Carrier but as you can see in my screen shots below, the game is only indicating that I have 3 Carriers when you can see in the second screenshot five of my six colonists that aren't actually holding a Worker position so they should instead be being identified as Carriers, I thought anyway.

Is this by design or is this a bug?

This continues to play out like this until I actually assign the newest colonists (who always show up at the bottom of the COLONISTS tab) a Workers position of some sort and then would need to remove them from that same position to actually have them recognized as a Carrier at that point.

This seems to be a bigger bug than what it seems, since for example your colonists menu should state "none" instead of a blank space if your colonists have no workplace. Could you send us your save file, so that we could investigate further? It and the output log can be found in

No mods being used, nor ever installed to begin with.

It only displays the None value for that field if you assign them a Workplace and then remove them from it. Also, once you re-load a save, at that point, the value for that field will return to no value being displayed even if None was being displayed for them before re-loading the save.

No problem. Not sure if the Null value for this field is causing the issue with them not being identified as Carriers but to be honest, if it is possible, personally I would prefer the field be left blank and not have the None value displayed for any of those colonists that are Carriers as it makes it easier to identify them with a blank there that it does with the None value there in the COLONISTS list and it makes assigning them to certain jobs easier with them standing out like this.

Thought I would throw this out there in case when this is fixed, this might be doable in the process.
