Issue with different buttons.

Playing on a PC with Sword of Islam.

I can't pick ambitions. The button is not there. Also if an advicer dies I cant pick a new one. Nothing happens when I press the empty space where a portrait usually is.
Also if I wan't to marry to people and then select the first, when I then wan't to pick the other part, when I press that person it switches to this person instead of linking the two as usual. Sometimes I can find the marriage link somewhere behind the other windows, but there is no logic to it.

Any help on how to make the game work as before?

... as before ... what? Was there some change or update that seemed to break this?

Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- opt into the new 2.2.1.1 beta in the Steam beta tab
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
