Forming (or Reforming) states of questionable historical viability or previous existence is probably best left to mods. We don't even know if the Bronze age Kingdom of Israel actually existed, it's a bit of a stretch for it to be a formable for a religion that has a single province at the start.

But we do know any Jewish ruler would instantly jump at the chance to call himself King of Israel.

Its a reasonable assumption, just like conquering Rome as a non catholic giving a extra missionary even though Rome was never "conquered" and certainly not by Protestant or Reformed nations.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a) the unified Kingdom of Israel is what's being questioned, not the Israel that coexisted with Judah, b) for the people in the game's timeframe its existenece was not being questioned. similarly to what Lor360 said, any Jewish leader from the time period would consider it valid to claim the title if possible.

You can form it in CK2, and it makes for a fine game. More importantly, CK2 is about your dynasty, not their titles, and you can acquire the jewish religion (and cultures) via courtiers at any time if you wish to do so.
This fits neither EU4s time period nor game mechanics. There are only two jewish provinces at the games start that will most likely disappear soon, and it makes little sense to implement events or decisions for Ethiopia or its neighbors to become some type of Proto-Israel.

On the other hand, implementing a decision allowing a jewish nation to form Israel is not further fetched than restoring the Roman Empire.

The Jewish religion is either valid or not as a feature in EU4. You can argue that it doesn't need more polish or that the devs have more urgent priorities to add to the game, but you can't say "its likely doomed so it doesn't count".

Byzantium, the Ibadi branch of Islam, Sikhism, Navara and every single nation in the americas is also " likely doomed". Why do we have a formable Roman Empire, Andalusia or Maya tag?

Its not like Paradox is shy about making ilogical religions unplayable, they removed paganism from CK2 even despite massive pleading from the fan base. They obviously feel that Judaism has its place in EU4.

To be more precise: Ethiopia or any other state adopting the jewish faith and seeking to create the Kingdom of Israel is far-fetched, but just as much as restoring the Roman Empire, Ottomans becoming Coptics, or any other weird culture or religion shift for that matter. I'm not against a simple decision to allow it, but I personally find it more questionable than forming nations like Germany, Rum, Ruthenia or Yuan (in this time period).

Thats no real argument against it, just my opinion. But coming back to OP, we better forget the permanent claims between Nil and Euphrat. Thats a step too far.

if ethiphia or ottomans were adopted the jewish faith and runned a theocratic state of course they would create kingdom of israel what is wrong with it?
are ethiophians' decisions and religion really important for history or game if paradox adds such a decision can ethiophians go jew and form israel? or does ottomans go jew and form israel? i dont think so its only adds flavor to single player gameplay and i also think it would be very accurate and makes sense

I would disagree on the context. Ethiopia converting to Judaism and magicaly getting claims in the Levant would probably be going a bit too far.

But a Jewish nation already in control of Jerusalem would almost unquestionably find Kingdom/Empire of Israel a more important title than Syria or Ethiopia or what ever there previous nation name was.

Right. So it should be as simple as this:

Form Israel.
Kingdom / Empire rank.

Requirements:

- Owns core province of Jerusalem.
- Is Jewish.
- Israel does not exist.

Grants permanent claims on the lower part of the Eastern Mediteranean

Guys adding tags to the game isn't just a question of developer time or historical accuracy. It slows the game down. Tags like Andalusia which can only be formed by a few nations are bad enough. Do we really want to add a tag that can realistically be only formed by one or two nations?

As far as i know that's only just a myth, and if it isn't a single new tag would barely affect the game speed.

You must know that AI will constantly think about all the decisions it can´t make and not even see right ;-) so game will be a grinding halt by adding one little tag :-D

About the tag... As much as I like the possibility and sandboxy thing you can do... No... it´s too far fetched... Just as much as having norse religion revitalized in this period because some in scandinavia might still hold the faith in secret... Sry jews... You have to wait a bit to get your kingdom

so maybe they should remove stupid tags like lebanon syria iraq germany scandinavia etc
