They took a lot of provinces except their rebelled island. Is it bug or their independence desire is too strong f?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
It is like that for last 2 patches if my memory serves. Annoying as hell, especially if you need to find that one small archipelago on the Pacific ocean, otherwise Spain will declare independence (and we are not talking about Catalonia only).
It's WAD. I remember having same kind of sh*t with Yemeni separatists on Suqutra. I didn't pay attention to the stack on the island and then I lost 15 provinces when they declared independance. Actually I think there is a fixed deadline. 5 years of occupation IIRC. If you don't free the province after 5 years, all the provinces where the separatists have core on will be given to the new country.
