Hello, just begun playing Cradle of Civilization and got multiple questions regarding Islamic Schools and how they are chosen with nations that do not exist in 1444 or are not of an Islamic Sect in 1444.
First of, I'm coming here after checking the wikia which is not yet fully updated.
1. Colonial Nations
However unlikely, how are Islamic Schools picked for new Colonial nations? Do they follow the School of their founder?
2. Client States
Similar thoughts for Colonial Nations, they probably follow their founder's School?
3. Their are 3 way's (that I can think of) where a nation who is not a follower of Islam, to convert to an Islamic Sect; either through revolts, vassals or a peace deal. How is a School decided for the new nation?
4. Next is what happens to a nation that does not exist in 1444. They could be released through a peace deal, through releasing a nation as a vassal, or from a successful revolt. How are they picked? I can see them being preset here, but not sure if that is fees able.
5. The next question is if an already Islamic nation converts (for any reason) to another sect, do they keep their original or do they pick, or is it randomly assigned?
6. Finally, I know Ibadi do not have Schools, the first point is what Schools (if any) do they have. Secondly, I am not 100% sure the reasoning, but I assume it is due to the fact Ibadism is a School of it's own, of the Kharijite Sect of Islam. Could it be worth switching Ibadi to Kharijite and then adding Ibadi as a School, plus a few others. (Their were 4 Schools that survived to 1444 from what I know). On this one, I am no means an expert so anyone, please prove/disprove me.
7. My final question is on modding. Can modders add new schools, and if a mod adds more sects of Islam can they add schools to that new religion? What happens if a mod adds new Islamic nations but does not set a Sect for said nation?
Thanks, if these questions have been answered elsewhere, I do apologise. Just in the process of updating a joint mod adding new Islamic nations and checking exactly how the features work.
