Introducing the ISIS Mod for Darkest Hour. Now you can pit the relentless hordes of the holy jihad against the Nazi legions, or even Stalin's Soviet Empire. Just for fun!

Instructions: ISIS is playable only in the 1939 scenario. If you aren't seeing them this is why.

Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Darkest Hour A HOI Game\Mods

Copy and Paste "Darkest Hour Full"
Extract "New ISIS Mod"
Copy the mod folder "New ISIS Mod" over the new Darkest Hour Full folder you copied
Overwrite all, and rename mod folder to your pleasure (note: longer names might make the game crash as of now.)

Western media connected that term to Muslim radicals, but it is a sentence used multiple times by Muslims during prayers. And Inner Circle probably didn't mean it that way

Well anyone would connect someone screaming Allah Ackbar to terrorist attacks , because when somebody screams something like that it usually followed by some delusional fellows committing atrocities in the name of their god and it happens often now with the ISIS on the move.


+ it is kind of ironic now , that all the high tech USA equipment is now falling in the hands of ISIS both from Iraq army and Sunni prince investors


In the end , I wouldnt mind seeing ISIS in modern scenario settings , but this is kind of weird.

Well it could be , if you view that ISIS are just good muslims who follow the Koran. They read the Koran and do what it says. Kill the infidels and etc. Then again when it comes , ISIS just use religion to control the population. I just still think that mod would be somewhat more better if it would be set in moder scenario rather than this.

Why? That would 1. Take the silliness out of it and make something potentially controversial into something *definitely* controversial, and 2. Offer little to no fun whatsoever, as ISIS in modern times is stagnated in the game equivalent of a few provinces with no real possibility of expansion.

I wouldnt call ISIS stagnant , say what ever you want , but they are effective in what they are doing - they have created an non-official state with governmental agencies(like Police, fire-departments and clinics) being at first just a small terrorist cell that hailed from Al-qaeda. To think about I wouldnt say it is controversial , there is nothing controversial, because I dont see anyone defending them.

They haven't significantly expanded in territory since June last year and there's not much realistic chance of that happening now. I'd say it'd be more controversial in the modern day because it hits closer to reality. Less abstracted/alternate or fantasy history.

Offtopic on: I really like how out of the 20 last battles involving ISIS since April 2015, they have won only 2. Offtopic off.

Anyway, on the mod: yes, it should exist, no blasphemy done there. Genocides carried out by existing in-game regimes are in no way "more tolerable" than what ISIS is doing. And yes, it should rather be added to Modern Day Scenario rather than 1939 one. Then again, we did have Sennussi order IRL, so, why wouldn't also a bunch of organized genocidal maniacs be possibility. Comparing those two only on organizational level, not ideology or violence.
