After many, many months of playing Castile, I finally got the Isabella of Castile event. This is like the ninth game I've tried this in. And really, I need her.

First, I made Enrique a general to make him die. He didn't. No, he lived a long, full life. :( His father died. Early, too. I lived under twenty years of 0/0/0. Finally, I get an heir - ironically named Isabela. She was awesome. A 3/4/5 ruler. Thing is, she's Enrique's daughter. So I decide to wait until she's fifteen and then abdicate.

The day of her fifteenth birthday, she dies. I am not kidding. :(

Now I have no direct heir. Like it or not, Enrique has to live. But he doesn't, of course. He dies. Since I have no royal marriages except with a vassal, I end up with a new ruler, a pitiful man with 1/2/1 named Felix. And he's young. Sigh.

About two years into his reign, the Isabella event fires. Now my heir is 5/6/3 with a 95 claim strength. And she is exactly the same age as Felix.

I was in the middle of war so I threw Felix into the head of an army, hoping for the best ... or worst. Well, I got the worst all right: now he's a hardy general! (Paradox REALLY has a sense of humor, huh?)

Castile needs a good ruler. We are falling behind everyone because of Enrique and now Felix. The only way I can see to bring Isabella to the throne is to abdicate - ASAP. Am I wrong? Is there a better way to do this?

The way I see it Felix has two options: Abdicate or die. Please help me get Isabella to the throne! (although she'll probably die six months later in a hunting accident.)
