Is This Your Favourite Game?

I am just curios to know if this is your favourite game?

It is definitely mine. Favourite of all time. And here I mean Crusader Kings II and Crusader Kings, but since this one is newer, more detailed and polished I will stay with CK II.

What I mean by most favourite?
You know how they ask what book or album would you take with yourself on desert island if you could choose just one. Or if they ask you that you can pick only one game from now on, to play.
So is this the one. It is mine. And I am wondering how many more have the same opinion on this like me.

The only serious competition, I would think, for me would be one of Civilization games, let’s say V as it is newest (and probably the best so far). And as I said CK (I).

After that I like Vicki I and EU II and Civilization III, while the full list of all excellent games would finished with Stronghold Crusader and Stronghold (I) . Everything beside that I ever tried from pc games more or less not for my taste or under expectation. And I played or tried at least 50 or more, up to100 so far.

I'd be the same. EU3 almost comes close, but I have sunk a ridiculous amount of time into this game (for me) and I still love it and find replay value. That's the hallmark of a great game.

Definitely in my top 3. Second maybe with Warband first.

It's up there for me. May be the favorite of all strategies. I do like other genres too, though.

You think Civ5 is the best so far!?! Last time I tried it was was worse than than civ4. The AI didn't know how to handle the mechanics they introduced, it was too easy.

This game is indeed my favorite, when properly modded for balance. I've probably spent more time on EU3 (with Magna Mundi), but this game is still improving both from developing and mods. It has excellent replay value, which is a rather rare trait in modern games if you ask me.

This game perfectly fits how I like to play games. Character based and fast paced. I can't really bring my self to play the Civ games anymore, because this is just way better. The only thing I prefer from them is the music, and maybe the atmosphere and presentation.

I think this is probably the best turn-based strategy game ever, hands down. I've bought many games since I bought CKII, but I keep coming back. EU3 pales in comparison, in my opinion. I'll probably feel the same way about EU4.

Favorite Paradox game by far. Favorite strategy game most likely. But I doubt it is in my top 5 of all games of all time even if I limit it to just PC games.

I probably put Crusader Kings 2 up there with SimCity 2000. And I think SimCity 2000 is probably the best strategy simulation game ever. The original Populous would be rated extremely high as well. So would The Ancient Art of War circa the 1989 VGA re-release. I remember the original black and white version, I would have to leave my PC on over night to finish the end of turn sequence.

Well they fixed it too slowly for me. I didn't pay full price for a bugged game. (Also it makes NO SENSE to have not had religion in the base game, you don't take features out from the previous iteration only to sell it as an "expansion" for 30 bucks)

At least I finally learned my lesson not to buy on day one

It was probably my fav game back with patch 1.3 But with 1.7 it's a total mess. German-speking players call this "Patching a game to death". I think this is the problem with CKII.

what? how can you possibly detest getting free content and bugfixes? sure, 1.05 wasnt overly stable and 1.07 has mongols taking everything, but its certainly a better game than it was before with all the new mechanics and stuff.
