I'm trying my first WC run as Austria I'm not sure if I can still finish it in time. I started off really good, but the last 100 years (1620-1720) has been an absolute slog trying to move across Africa with a lvl. 8 fort every other province. (great idea Paradox!) I'm an average skilled player at best, and managing multiple large scale wars/coring efficiency is not my specialty. Is this run still manageable or is it too late in the run?

I have all of Europe under control or PUs (PLC, Russia, Portugal), all of South America, and most of North America under my control.

It is.
You should feed provinces to your subjekts, not take it all by yourself. I asume you are the Emporer of HRE, and has made all nations in HRE your subjekts.
A nice guide is
. (did my WC with the guide)
You should always be att war more or less, offen 3,4, 5 or more wars at the sametime. And always white peace with those that you are not taking any provinces from.

100 years should be enough but it's not going to be clean. You didn't provide much info so can't go in the details but one thing you can do is make a save copy right now. Play those 100 years, lean alot and try again with the copy.

  • Start with the bigger tags if you can, to avoid chain truce brake in the last 20-30 years. You don't need to core, but you need to have -2 stab to declare so if you need 10 truce brake you need 10 stab up mana.
  • It's a little late but never too late to start to feed you vassals, do layers from sea toward inland to maximise the amount of nations you can feed (to avoid their OE). When you click the magic button at the end you'll get everything anyway. Check image, every vassal is a different color.
    Capture d’écran 2022-08-22 162656.png
  • Start wars with the tribes in NA, SA and SEA in diplomat downtime, it takes 2-3 month travel so keep a big stack with transport to do those wars in the meanwhile of your big war that you focus on. Like 20-0-20 stack with 20-0-0-40 navy should do the work... slowly but continuous while you focus elsewhere. make sure you have the pop up when you win a siege to send that army on the next tribe/island.
  • Try to max out your absolutism and admin efficiency, revoke estate stuff if needed
  • Do not go revolutionary, the CB is broken.
  • Check monuments, there's a good few ones like in Ayathulaa land and the one in Grenada if not already leveled up.
  • Unless you plan to do a one tag, don't fear taking land that cost diplo, like small-medium allies of the big target.
  • Diplo idea ? if not drop anything and take it.
  • Admin idea ? if not take only the first 2, keep your mana to core
  • Why are you improving relation ?
    • To avoid coalition ? dont do that, about 50 nations left, attack the lots of them and cycle the truces
    • To vassalise ? ok but I doupt you have the time/mana to integrate them if you want a one tag, better off feeding of your european vassal that will be integrated for free
  • Start 3 wars now ! One with a biggy (timurid, Bengal, Oriat, Shun) and focus on that one, one in africa with only 2-3 stacks, one in SEA to start taking out these islands.
    • A good trick for faster peace deal with medium nation is to just siege the forts and let their armies go their merry way, peace out with leaving them only 1 provinces, attack 10 years later to finish them. Sometimes its faster and less of a chore than to chase down every 1k stack running wild that prevent you from 100%.
  • You have the money to buy every merc compagny that is available, use it ! Declare 1 more war with these mercs ! now !
  • Don't be affraid to abuse your space bar, and use pop up that pause the game like when winning a siege to alot that army elsewhere.
  • Good info to add if you do a follow up along side screnshots are dev left to conquer and idea unlocked

If you haven't already, take Offensive for siege ability. Diplomatic (which I assume you already have) would also be helpful for truce-breaks. Don't be afraid to use excess mil power to create wall breaches for faster sieges. This should be doable, but you're going to need to fight on multiple fronts simultaneously. Luckily with so many subjects you can offload MOST of it to them which really reduces tedium.

Also, you are now in the last age. Take the unlimited coring ability, and in your first war against anyone new make sure to take their forts no matter where they are. Chances are they will build a few new ones (it really depends how much you wreck them in the first war, some might never recover), but it will still be way less of a hassle to occupy them in the follow up wars.
