Hope this is the right forum for this.

Anyway. I've been playing the civilwar scenario a bit.

And actually what I thought would be cool.... is if you could have a civilwar setup earlier... at the start of the game.

Historically speaking I guesse... what I am thinking, is what if say when SC leaves durring the nulification crisis, if the south chose to follow SC.. instead of siding with Jackson and the Union. ie a cviilwar in the 1830's... when the two regions were much more balanced.

I'm not the expert with the game that some of you are... but i thought this might be possible to do by playing the USA.. and having them grant independance to the south (after all i nthe 1860 scenario you have the option to create a new england, ny etc that are indepednant)

but this is not an option in the grand campaign scenario.

I dont know how the cheat codes work.. other than these codes *exist*

so I figured I would ask you experts if there was a way to somehow force into existance what I have envisioned lol. Which would sort of be an independant CSA whose borders (in an ideal world) would follow those of the civilwar scenario plus maybe... kentucky (in the 1830's especially their culture is southern imo).

I don't know if its possible to set up what I imagined without a LOT of hassle heh. But I figured I would ask you guys if there was some easy way to have this set up. like I see here people somtimes reffering to event triggers. Is it possible to trigger the civilwar in the 1830's instead of the 60's?

you could always write some events to make this happen. i recommend downloading spoony's event builder and giving it a go. it will take some time to get used to the tags and whatnot, but it is a good tool.

or you could just read "even dumber guide to making your own country" and make the csa physically, subtract csa provinces and such from the usa and then start the scenario with them already independent...

it is a lot of work though, but a good idea!
