Are you sure about that ?
Are you sure about that ?
Obviously it wasn't, that's why there is a latin-based language spoken by 65 something million people EVERYWHERE there today..France never was part of RE
Its okay, I think he's just a troll.Obviously it wasn't, that's why there is a latin-based language spoken by 65 something million people EVERYWHERE there today..
Geographical france was one of the first series of conquests of the SPQR outside of central italy, and Caesar (that conquering guy, you might remember him) was largely responsible for most of it (other than narbonensis & cisalphine gaul).
Saying that rome never had gaul/france is much the same as holocaust denial, there's too much evidence for you to deny it, other than racial motivation.
Good ol' semantics.France never was part of RE
As a ruler ( i managed to get emperor pretty quickly), the faction system is pretty challenging. Rebel vassals can be pretty scray now on paper
The only problem is that they don't merge their armies together, so if you just manage to have one large stack, you can just pick one small stack at a time, even if they outnumber you 10 to 1 in theory, and win that way. If this get fixed, and they work together, we will have a very good system to prevent crown authority to go too high, and some nice little revolutions.
Imperial Reconquest doesn't work against the Turks because they're Muslims, which is specified in the code.
Good ol' semantics.
France, the Kingdom, certainly wasn't; but France, the area of land, certainly was.
I don't know enough to really argue about it, but I'd be surprised if it was anything more than lip service.Actually, even semantically speaking, you could argue that the earliest Merovingians nominally paid some homage to the authority of the Empire. Of course, its not exactly easy to make any statements with certainty about the early Dark Ages.
So not CK2, then.I play medieval european feudalism game as close to history as possible.
There are plenty of instances of them taking over Byzantium, spain and italy, before tearing france into bits.
Edit; with 1.06, haven't seen too much of it yet with 1.07.
So not CK2, then.
That aside, I do think the Imperial Reconquest CB should only be activated for France, Spain and England (arguably) AFTER you conquer Rome, restore the Pentarchy and restore the Empire.
Guys you seriosly concider kingdom england as part of Rome and really want to see it as part of ERE? What game are u playing about? I play medieval european feudalism game as close to history as possible.
