Currently playing as hive mind that is trying to incrase pops by cloning as much as possible combining abilties of tree of life with new plantoid traits... yet I encountered a weird mechanic
I am using my capital for farms and other utility buildings so I nerve strappled my farmer pops and prepared myself to move in pops to take over complex drones... yet... nerve strappled drones are able to take complex jobs too...
Is this intented for hive mind? Should I report this as bug? It even provides %5 production to my complex jobs.
If it is intented I am making all pops nerve sapled and have some really good leader pops to pin point select my leaders :D

This is an oversight who has never been fixed from years. Complex drones arent considered specialist jobs, so your nerve stapled drones can work them just fine.
This trait is basically a 5% outpout without counterpart for hivemind

So it gives a way to choose, leader only sub-spoecies.
Finally!
Should try it out, before it gets "corrected" (I always wished for more control about leaders in hives)

Nerve stapled is super bugged for Hiveminds. That isn't the only part that is bugged. Remember that Nerve-Stapled pops are not supposed to be leaders?

So as a Hivemind, we can make use of that! We simply create a leader-type pop where we stack Erudite and a bunch of Leader bonuses and then we nerve-staple the rest! Amazing usage right?

Nope, that doesn't work. You will still have nerve-stapled Hivemind pops create leaders. I have tested it many times over and reported this bug, but it was never fixed. So instead of getting only Erudite leaders, you get non-erudite leaders from your nerve-stapled pops aswell.

That's true for every empire, and also for the "Serviles" trait given by the "Syncretic Evolution" Origin. I don't remember a time without that bug, always had to use a mod to fix it.

I tried to reproduce this with syncretic evolution. I could get generals and admirals (with the serviles set to full military service) but not scientists or governors. Is it possible to do it for all leaders?

You're right, I just tried it again and I got the same. I'll have to try nerve-stapled again too.

I think the actual bug is that hiveminds can nerve-staple their drones in the first place. Your pops already don't have happiness so I really don't see the point of it being available.
