hey wiz, care to share the formulae on how death chance per age is calculated for ruler/heir?

I'd really like to know what the odds for a 18 year old king dying without being a general is. Not kidding.

Tired of this confirmation bias bull****, why can't you devs ever share the real formulae behind all mechanics?

It would avoid many threads if it would be out in the open like other stuff (events, traditions, blah blah txt files).

Not saying there should be ingame % chance to die value VISIBLE ingame for kings each month, but still....

It would answer and avoid many urban eu4 legend theories floating around.

P.s: while I'm at it, can you elaborate on how exactly inheriting a nation that isn't of your dynasty works?

I can dream right ;)

This is especially true because the generic "confirmation bias" line has proven to be wrong in the past in two game mechanics: terrain % and chance of being discovered fabricating claims. Though long since patched now, both of those used to give inaccurate percentages to the extent of being caught 30% of the time on a <5% chance or having a 50/50 chance result in 80 identical outcomes in a row.

In light of the reality that percentages have turned out against intent multiple times and relative player inability to test this mechanic against expected value because they have no expected value, knowing what's supposed to happen would be useful. Claim discovery might never have been changed if people didn't start calling it out.
