Is there no way to edit an Ironman save?

I like Ironman to keep me from casual cheating, but sometimes cheap things happen and I need to fix things. How can I either edit the Ironman save or break it into a regular save?

I'm afraid I don't know and can't give you a firm answer, but until someone comes along who can- aren't CK2 ironman saves cloud-stored? That would make them inherently uneditable unless there's a way to convert them to normal.

No - Not necessarily. I save mine locally...

IIRC Ironman save will not load if you edit it in some way

I bet there is a way to edit ironman saves succesfully, but only the keepers of the forbidden knowledge at Paradox know it...

With all likelyhood it uses a simple checksum to make sure it hasn't been corrupted in anyway (that includes editing)

Wasn't there a sticky or similar in the regular forum not long ago, about how to de-ironman a savegame for bug-reporting and similar?(Might be mixing with EU4)

Option to store it in the cloud is present but not mandatory.
