Is there any way to remove the ads at the top of every forum page?

I don't mind seeing the ads a few times. I do mind that they are on every freaking page. I mind that they take up more than half of my iPad screen, so I have to scroll every thread I go to before reading it.

As far as I can see, there is no way for me to turn off the ads in my account.

If it is not possible to turn off the ads, can they please be removed from individual thread pages? They would be about 10% as annoying that way.

There is a X in the top left corner, press that and the ad will go away forever. You have to do it once per ad though.

No problem, it is not a perfect method, but it works well enough. One thing I worried about though, was that you would think I was being sarcastic and referring to the browser X. Even though it is in a different place on an IPad.

Nope. The moment I looked at the ad again, I saw the x. I didn't realize it would keep the ad closed.
