Title. Can you play as the Timurids even if Shah Rukh dies within, like, 2 years ?
This strategy relies on keeping your vassals. Shah Rukh sometimes dies the second I declare war on Ajam.Yes. Here is one guide:
Yep, one of the least RNG-dependent starts in the game, huh ?Playing Timurids is honestly quite easy.
1. pass the Nobility privilege that lowers liberty desire in subjects.
2. Use the iqta interaction that reduces liberty desire.
3. Set all excess diplomats to increase relations with vassals, especially the largest vassals like transoxiana
4. Declare war on Ajam for cores immediately. Let your vassals do most of the fighting and preserve your manpower. Winning the war is nice but not strictly necessary, more important is to drain your vassals and come out of it yourself relatively unscathed. Only commit your forces if you know you can win with almost no losses. Let your vassals take all the risks (set their behaviour to aggressive or siege).
5. Build up the size of your army as much as possible.
6. With the above you should at most have one vassal go rebellious. Sacrifice prestige for liberty desire where necessary.
Even if sharukh dies early its not a big problem as vassals can't declare independence while you're at war, and you can drag out the war with Ajam as much as you like. Once you make it to 1454 just integrate transoxiana (you start with cores on almost all your vassals lands, so it should be instantaneous) and you should have no further risks of rebellious vassals. If you can though try to keep some of your vassals around as they're cheap to integrate and you're stronger with a vassal swarm.
Timurids is actually probably one of the least RNG dependent starts in the game.

Did all of those, still got them rebellious. Since they were rebellious, they just sat in their territory ! Very cool man, very cool.
Yeah it's actually easy. But to have it easy you need to do a cheese by prolonging a war so that your vassals cannot start an independence war until you can start annexing them.Title. Can you play as the Timurids even if Shah Rukh dies within, like, 2 years ?
Because Ajam has your cores (so reclaiming them is "free" both admin points and ae wise), and the war has almost no risk involved. Ajam is weaker then you even without your vassals, if you wait Ajam might ally someone powerful like the ottomans or mamluks. Finally, you have no powerful neighbours who could attack you while you fight the war.Guys, why is every onde helbent on a risky war with ajam ?
In my opinnin the most stable opening is to hire 2 merc stacks, build 3 troops and then go and raid india (mission from 40 force limit) this way you can open even with your king geting killed on VH im the first jear
Since u rly don't need your vassals to fight kashmir, sirhind or delhi

Reconquest war on ajam to get cores, build up army and improve relations, use the Muslim gov interaction to lower liberty desire. Then integrate tranny, fars, khorsan as you have cores on all their lands so integrate in 1 day. Can also seize land from Afghanistan and integrate until they only have land that's your cores
? Why would you integrate 1 per month? You're an empire so have 3 diplomats, set to integrate all 3 at once. You have a core on Roh now but I swear there's still 1 province that doesn't have a timmy core? That's been changed, the Timurids have a core on Roh now. Besides, there's a better way to do this.
Integrate 1 vassal, and on the next month, integrate three more. The -30 opinion hit is pretty manageable to keep every other vassal above 190 relations, so might as well. It's a much stronger strategy, IMO. Maybe with a lot of opinion bonuses you could compensate for a -60 opinion hit, and thus manage to get all 5 vassals integrated pretty fast, but I haven't tried that out.
