I was just doing a casual historical Germany run to familiarize myself with NSB (first time i had time to really play it lol) and wanted to do the No fun in Stalingrad achievement. In the peace conference Italy puppeted Canada but i didn't really care much about any of this because like i said, it was a simlpe and casual achievement run. However in the end i decided to just role with it and attack the US as well, and now the Italy-Canada thing keeps biting me in the ass.

I can't even select "German-American war" when trying to invite Italy into it, and it only displays the China war of Japan... which both Italy and i am already part of anyway. Still, when i click on the China war nothing happens with Italy. I obviously need Canada as a jumping-off point because i really don't have the nerve right now to redraw everything, conquer Iceland and do these naval shenanigans there.

Am i missing something or is this a bug?

Thanks.

It is a bug. Despite this being a war game, it has no real concept of a "war". It just automatically bundles together a bunch of war declarations and takes one of them to be the titular war declaration. In your case, both of your wars are called "Japanese-Chinese War". Places like the call-to-arms UI get confused by that and mix up the two wars.

Which was weird since this was only the case with Italy. I could invite most other Axis members and this is also how i eventually worked around it. I believe it was France or Hungary or someone who eventually invited Italy.

But thanks anyway. Given that it's not that common of a bug (i assume) and not that gamebreaking, Pdx will probably put it on the already kilometers long to-do list.

Still, i think i'll probably make a bug report then.
