Err.... I might've said something I didn't mean.
Gavelkind is better if you only have one title of your highest tier. Two kingdoms for example would be bad with gavelkind. One kingdom or one duchy however is fantastic. More than one, and I'm in the primo booth, easy. Can't do tyranny in Elective. Ever! Not even when you're 70 years old.
Only time I kept Elective was when becoming HREmperor, mostly for the RP elements. Feels wrong not keeping it the way it was. Past that I always make sure stuff stays in the family.
