Is there a way to limit micro - multiple colonies question?

So, what do you do when you play a machine empire / machine-ascension or any other empire that can colonize any planet type? I find it hard to keep up with the micro then and sectors automation does not work very well for that in my opinion (need to manually re-stock them for them to work).

Anything I'm missing here?

Typically you can finish a planet and enable population growth planetary controls, and then you rarely have to revisit it.

But yes, 2.2 has more effort and more time (due to higher population counts) to finish one individual planet, unless of course you're willing to blow a lot of energy resettling pops to a planet's housing/job capacity.

Nope. 2.2 vastly increased the amount of micro required, with no solution except the Sector AI (which is essentially nonfunctional).
It's a bit unfortunate, managing 50+ planets (and half as many sectors) becomes a real slog in the late game, whereas before this could be solved by adding three or four districts for the AI to manage, even if they don't do so optimally. But in 2.2, Fifty planets and dozens of (poorly generated) sectors? And an AI that I don't necessarily trust to manage the new economy system in which making a bad decision doesn't merely impede your growth but crashes your entire economy? I think I'll take a break...
