Is there a way to increase the base price for slaves on the market?

I feel like 500 EC is too low, taking into account that the break even point comes after just 10 years and the AI emipires love to sell 1/3 of their population. It made the game too easy for me and instead of not using it at all I would like to find some middle ground.

Thanks in advance guys!

That modifier should be part of my "Dynamic Difficulty : More Modifiers" mod. It will allow you to apply the increased costs to all AI empires and the player. Though it currently will allow only 20% increase of cost I guess. I can easily change this to more if you want.

Edit: Alternative would be to to change the base cost define in 00_defines.txt. Though that would not increase the extra cost for slaves with good traits.

1/3? I tested it in my current game and one of my protectorates sold 60 of 80 pops over a time of 10 years or so.
I guess being turned into a vassal crippled its economy(GA difficulty) but still.
Now it has planets full of ruined buildings.
I only bought a few myself another AI empire got most of those pops.

Awesome! Thank you! This is exactly what I have been looking for. I wonder if doubling on the slave price will increase the AI incentive to sell even more.

Also, your mod looks really interesting! Does it work with Glavius AI mod? I didnt see it mentioned in the compability section so it should, right?

Huh. I use Glavius AI too. The AI never sold anything except a few obsolete robots, and was VERY quick to buy up all my slaves when I saturated the market with a ton of Ketling thralls.

Also it's weird that Ketlings are considered "bad" slaves and cost less just because they have "slow breeders". Come on, they have tomb world preference! (80% tomb/60% everything else).

The pricing could definitely use some work...

It does. It says compatible with everything :p

I updated it to allow a prices increase of up to 100%. Is that enough?
