:rofl: That's a very short answer. I'd say, besides the Byzantine Empire, no. But I don't play vanilla anymore to be 100% sure. But most likely there's a mod with the possibility to recreate the original Roman Empire. I made one once, many years ago. But that's another story .

The "Byzantine" Empire is the remains of the ancient Roman Empire.

There's also the (more 'modern') Holy Roman Empire that Catholic nations (usu. Austria or another German state) can be elected Emperor of. It's shown as a red line on the religion map.
