Is there a possibility for a console version of EU IV?

Well, at the same time as I understand your arguments against it I do think it could be profitable. If we compare it to strategic shooters, which I also like, they have almost completely disappeared from the market. But, recently, since Kickstarter it has gotten more and more support both financially and interest. What I want to have said with this is that even if developers doesn't make RTS anymore on consoles doesn't mean there's no interest. Obviously mainstream at the moment is FPS and other quick action gameplay, but, I think there are a lot of people just waiting for a nice strategy game. Honestly, I'd rather have a title like EU than an old school RTS like C&C.

This would be pretty sweet on the Wii U.

I remember getting Command and Conquer and Sim City on the consoles, a lot of us probably did. I think a niche market could be there, but I wouldn't expect to see sales rivaling the PC version.
Yeah, I think the same! I actually still play Sim City =P.

The part that I don't understand is, why wait if you can get a decent PC to run the strategy games that have already been there in the platform?

Not everyone are PC gamers =), though, I see your point. I think it has to do more about how they play it and where they play it. If you consider a PC gamer has to (conventionally that is) have the laptop on you, or sit at a table for a desktop. while console might feel more casual, then again, I'm just speculating.
