is there a map mode that combines terrain and political?

was wondering if I was maybe derpin and missing something. the terrain map mode is pretty, shows weather effect in addition to the terrain. and the political map mode, although somewhat kind of dull, depicts what it needs to. is there a Vicky II-esque map mode in this game that shows the terrain with political map mode coloring (even if at the expense of weather)?

No. But there is, i think, still a mod in which the political map mode is made more transparent, so you can see the terrain through.
