Is there a difference between Amazon pre-order and steam/pdx pre-order ?

Hey,
I wonder what the difference between these platforms is, Amazon is promoting an edition with the digital soundtrack and a "Human Diversity Content Package", while the Paradox store has several pre-order boni but also the two more expensive editions with the extra Alien race.
Do you get the pre-order boni even when pre-ordering with Amazon ? And how expensive is buying the "spider" DLC probably going to be after release ?

It seems like amazon is the only retailer featuring that "DLC", so it might be outdated and included in the base game? Afaik it would be the first Paradox DLC (at least in a long time) that's not on steam as well.

Clarification would be nice though. Would really like to preorder on the pdx store without missing out on anything.

I think Stellaris was removed from Amazon for preorder. I can no longer find it. I'm really disappointed that Paradox even even considered the possibility of releasing the human diversity as DLC though.

It's still available on amazon but as far as I can see only amazon.de mentions the "human diversity content pack".

I think you are missing the point of the OP. The difference between amazon and the other retailers is the focus of the question.

- The Human Diversity pack is not a thing. It's an old placeholder you can call it that didn't get updated in some places unfortunately. Amazon's offer is the same as everyone elses.

In terms of content steam and paradox are offering the same stuff, the only tangible difference is that with the paradox store steam takes less of the pie and paradox can make more money. Either way you get the game on steam with the same content
