Is the Spanish Civil War dead?

I do not run any mods but did just added the latest dlc: La Resistance. I have tried three games, 1 Italy and 2 German and the Spanish Civil War never happens. I see some message about some unrest and that they do not need any help to screw things up and thats it.

No it´s working perfect. It beginns in July 1936 and Ends normaly somewere in 1939. Have begunn the Game 8 or 9 Times with different Countrys (USA, Australia, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, France, Japan as well as 1 forgotten Name with a Full Focustree) and it works perfect.

First: You need the newest Patch (atm 1.9.3) and if you don´t wanna have an issue the full DLC´s

Second: In the Settings for the Countrys let them all play historical and use the Hook for Historical in the Main Setup

Third: Don´t play unhistorically yourself, that worries the AI and historical things like the Spanish Civil War won´t run.

What do you mean? Have you investigated what's going on in Spain in detail? e.g. what focuses they're taking, who is the leader, what party is in power etc. The thing you mentioned about "they do not need any help to screw things up" sounds like the anarchist uprising news event, if that's happening without an actual anarchist uprising (let alone an actual civil war) then something is going very wrong, but it's nearly impossible to diagnose without specifics.

There is absolutely no way for the Spanish Civil War not to happen under LaR. So this is probably a bug but it's a very strange one if so.

The Spanish Civil War will break out earlyer or later. Better is earlyer in July 1936. The Devs have it in her Vids for LaR and all other Gamers have the Event playing other Countrys too.

If you doing the Steps I said above it comes automatically in July 1936. The Prededecossor of Franco get the Revolt starting there (with the Revolt / Nationalism Focus) and the republicans get the other Focus (democratic, Neutral or Kommintern).

Either you have not done the correct steps above or a failure in your system / gamefiles if it´s not starting. The SCW will break out, dosen´t matter what you doing.

I guess 4th times the charm, started a new game and it kicked off in August.
