well im argentinian, and since supreme ruler 2010, i always felt that the "rio negro" was badly represented (like the colorado and other), the river is 635 km in lenght, yet in the game it barely get of the cost

here how it looks:

Hi, to answer your questions about rivers... it comes down to a few items. First I'd like to say, I too would miss certain geographical items close to where I live if not in the game, so I appreciate this being brought to our attention.

The general approach to rivers has been -
1) do we see it when looking at the satellite imagery - The imagery from NASA increased about by a factor of 4 times from what we used in SR2010. So, some items stood out more.
2) do we know about it through basic knowledge.
3) what can we easily research - looking at some lists of longest, widest, biggest rivers... may not show important ones in some areas
4) what do players tell us? I don't think anyone mentioned rivers in SR2020, so we didn't make too many changes.

It is always a balance between total accuracy and "it's a game". Generally, if time wasn't an issue the we'd have a perfect game.

I'd say that I could just add some rivers but the process is quite long, due to the terrain painting, adding effects onto rivers, cutting the imagery etc. We are also being very careful what we do add now as one small change can cause other problems too. But, I did add it to our list, tagged for a future title perhaps.

Thank you for pointing this out.
