Hello there, new to trying out this mod and had this question to ask, thanks. Basically I'm trying to convert this welsh province to Anglo-Saxon and so in vanilla that would involve putting a fellow anglo-saxon as ruler with high stewardship, is it the same in CKIIplus?

Should be based off learning ( or heavily modified by it I've always used high learning characters for it), Province must be the owners capital or it has a neighboring province of the same culture and the owner of the province your converting needs to be the same culture as the one you're trying to flip it to.

Does that mean there's no way to culture convert islands, like Cyprus or Iceland?

I play as the king of jerusalem , and whenever I change my culture from french to outremer there are zero converting provinces they just stay levantine, armenian or greek after one century . many of my vassals become outremer too but the provinces don't change. Is there a way to change that??

Maybe automatically convert the jerusalem province from levantine to outremer when the option to swith from french to outremer event, so the other provinces surrounding jerusalem can convert too to outremer??

If I'm not mistaken that's WAD. Only the rulership changes culture not the locals (ie the provinces). I'd need someone on the dev team to confirm that fine point though.

As far as I recall, it isn't an oversight that the Outremer melting pot doesn't change the province culture - as Zeress says, it's to represent the fact that the rulership changed "culture" in that situation but the locals did not. This does not prevent the province culture from changing in the usual way as long as the province in question is its owner's capital or a neighbouring province and its owner have already adopted Outremer (or whichever) culture. (however, cultures change much more slowly if there is no neighbouring province and province-owner with the "target" culture).

Does this apply to vassal rulers? So if I had an Outremer duke of Cyprus when I was the Outremer King of Jerusalem, would Cyprus eventually convert cultures, or does this only affect the top liege?

A ruler can change the culture of their capital to their own culture regardless of neighbouring provinces and whether or not they are a vassal IIRC. However the presence of neighbouring provinces is one of many factors that can speed things up. "Seeding" that first pocket of your culture is the hardest step.

Kind of defeats the purpose of the melting pot culture then.
