viable as i can have good output for resources, alloy, unity, etc etc. months ago i played as it and it was good run even i was about to exterminate awakened empire. but later got wiped out due to war in heaven broke out and i was in the between.Define viable. Planets are what give you base-growth. You can probably survive against AI regular empires, but you might get stomped by the crisis.
thanks. but im playing a machine race. so far im doing good. sometimes i have issue with resources but man i do have tons of minerals generated every month. tho energy is giving me a headache i think once i get the ring world i will do much better. it will take time i betSo I've never played one planet like indefinitely so if that's how you wanna play then I can't tell you. If you want to stay on one planet and later on segue over into habitats, gaia worlds and ringworlds then yeah, it's still doable. Especially with the changes to alloys. Take life-seeded, take agrarian idyll so that you can exploit you planet to the max and not bother with city districts so much and make sure you find and defend good chokepoints. Also take consumer benefits so you have less need to build consumer buildings with your precious building slots, which you should be filling with anything that increases raw production. Spam the pop growth decision and build robots, they're a handy supplement to you worker pops especially as your world becomes more specialized with technological advancements.
