For your second game this is just fine. Some tips: 1 build 2 starbases and fill them With Anchorages so Your economy does not collapse.
Going above naval capacity or starbase capacity can ruin your economy.
Also try to exspand and find more colonies of Your climate preference. Consider terraforming them to Your climate preference.
The reason you need to terraform is that you have picked one of the weaker builds to start out With. Imperium of man is not that easy to play around With.
For a beginner I might want to recommend hiveminds. They are both stronger and easier to play. For Normal empires you can play slavers fairly easily,
Ps: 1 last tip. roleplay MP games can be a Nice way to get tips. Just stay away from competetive or aggressive games.
