Is "logging in" with another nation considered cheating?

If it is SP there is no such thing as cheating. If you enjoy playing the game, then play it however you want. MP is another matter entirely, however even then the rules can change based on what your group decides is acceptable. Again fun is the key but in MP the fun of everyone needs to be considered.

Only thing I've done in non-ironman saves is click onto a country with different terra incognita vision on the loading screen to see what say, Europe looks like, if I'm doing a RoW. Not for advantages, just curiosity, then click back to my original nation and load the save, playing as normal.

If you don't play ironman for achievements or in a multiplayer campaign, then its your campaign, and you decide exactly what you consider a cheat or not.

In that case why not just use "ti" for a second then? It doesn't remove fow in case you were worried about that.

I do this all the time out of curiosity. "Hey, let's see how Ottomans are doing HOLY CRAP KARAMAN IS HUGE"

thing is, Johan, it IS ironman, 1.14, and while I get the popup "playing with another nation disables achieves" I can still start as another nation, check, and log out.

The reason I'm so wishy washy is that I'm about to finish a WC by 1565, thus becoming the very best.

Because usually I'm just curious when I'm starting up a save. When in game, I focus on things in my own part of the world :b
