Is it worth it to sacrifice low cost and high upgrade time for a drafted army? The description says that standing armies are supposed to be expensive but it's cost is lowered instead and it barely takes any time to upgrade units. Is a drafted army only cheaper as a long-term, high manpower strategy to keep churning out troops as say, the Soviets? What would happen if one had to upgrade these units?
Down to the main question, which is cheaper and/or hands the user a more capable military force? I would think thata standing army would give the best results but I want to know what the users here think, as some say that Russia has the best slider settings.

I would imagine that drafted armies could be useful for some nations such as the Chinese Warlord states until your infantry is updated to 1936 level, then it would probably be pretty worthless since your tech probably won't advance much further than that.

Yes, go for standing armies.
Pretty easy to do as Ger or Sov. More challenging for some other countries like USA where you might have higher priority to move your hawk and isolationism sliders instead.
