Hi!

I have noticed that, when you go revolutionary, you can't use the Holy War and Imperialism CBs.
Sure, you get the spread the revolution one, that's quite handy, but late-game basically every country goes revolutionary (especially if you're the target and you're actively spreading it).

Sure, being the revolution target gives you awesome bonuses:
National manpower modifier.png +10%National manpower modifier
Morale of armies.png +10%Morale of armies
War exhaustion.png −0.15Monthly war exhaustion
Unjustified demands.png −50%Unjustified demands
Land maintenance modifier.png −15%Land maintenance modifier
Naval maintenance modifier.png −15%Naval maintenance modifier
Land force limit modifier.png +40%Land force limit modifier
Naval force limit modifier.png +40%Naval force limit modifier

But, other than losing those CBs, you also lose 10% of administrative efficiency (maximum absolutism gives 40%, against the 30% of the maximum revolutionary zeal), and the estates bonuses (I often use the +1 MP and the Strong Duchies ones).

So, for a One Faith World Conquest, is it worth it to go revolutionary?

You don't lose admin eff, absolutisism is +30% too (was nerfed from 1.29). You only lose the 5% discipline (that's a trade against revolutionary specific unit).
Spread revolution CB is better (that's a 50% cost) but you can't use it on revolutionary country.

IMO revolutionary is better if you are the only revolutionary country and allways at war (that's how you can max the zeal).

But i never do WC (need tedious war management and i'm a bit lazzy) so maybe my opinion isn't the best.

Thanks, I didn't know about the nerf!

I don't use revolutionary units, because I always use army templates, and you can't add those units in templates by default.

The problem is that you're the only revolutionary country at the beginning, but then most countries can switch...and you have to build claims and spend diplo points for unjustified conquests once again :(
