Now that several people who frequent this forum have the game in their hands, should we try to set up an online game between some of us as a test?

It doesn't have to be the Grand Campaign. We could try out one of the scenarios, to keep the thing manageable, and so we wouldn't have to sacrifice 20 hours to achieve a sense of completion. (Btw, I assume that you can save online games to be finished later. You don't actually HAVE to finish a Grand Campaign in one sitting, do you?)

'Therefore take heed how you impawn our person,
How you awake our sleeping sword of war.
We charge you in the name of God, take heed;
For never two such kingdoms did contend
Without much fall of blood...'

Sorry, not enough time on my hands to get into a multiplayer game. And I'm not sure I would really like it either, although I've never tried. I just guess that not being able to pause (at will) and go take a (walk, beer, or ....) would be annoying after a couple of hours. Also I'm afraid my connection to the internet (single channel isdn) is not fast enough for this game. Also, the cost of staying on-line here in Holland is still excessive, as long as you can't get a cable connection at a fixed monthly rate. Anyway, I'm very curious if it works or not (what sort of connections) and whether or not it's very fast or laggy, so please let us know.

greetings, Oranje

My version doesn't include the latest developments of the game.
The latest beta version is not the final version.

damn thats a shame, what new things have been added to the game since the beta? if nothing has been changed in multiplayer, then you can probably play, you might have to download a patch or something though.

General* got to say that you are a bit naive now. there won't be no patch for poor pierre to upgrade his beta to the final, thats life, but if Paradox shows som appreciation, ie if the beta guys haven't got paid (and I assume not), pierre will have his version of choice when it's published.

One day, the beta was over :)
I had clues on the beta forum of what could have been changed in the final version.
I remember Greven recently speaking of a fix with Prussia/Brandebourg relationships for example.
Nay, beta version is beta version.

I have to wait an english release :)
