As Imperial Fiefdom, the overlord empire will always be "Holy [origin_imperial_species.GetAdj] Empire" and have materialist ethic:

Yes. Name inspired by the "Holy Roman Empire" which was neither Holy nor Roman.
Eh I prefer Indolent Overlord's name to be recognizable because its easy to lose track of it when they balkanize. So HRE reference is perfect for that

Yes, but they're the only Holy ____ Empire in the region of the Indolent Overlord's old territory pre-civil war.Is it distinct?
I think there are other "Holy ________" empires in the game.
For long periods of its time the Holy Roman Empire was holy as it was started off as a empire to put the the faith of one god back to Europe, was an Empire and saw its self as the the second Rome. Your going off what the empire became in it's twilight years before Napoleon killed it off for good.Yes. Name inspired by the "Holy Roman Empire" which was neither Holy nor Roman.
The in-game situation is the twilight years of a dying empire..... what the empire became in it's twilight years before Napoleon killed it off for good.
Personally I'd rather an option for the other vassals to be random, or to set them ourselves. Same for the Overlord. It's not just the name, the whole setup is based around the Holy Roman Empire. The vassals even have names like palatinate and league.
Actually, the AI subjects all reappear with the same ethics and civics too, https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Empire#Imperial_Fiefdom_empires
I really like this, it makes the whole origin feel more distinct and personal compared to general randomness of the rest of the spawned empires.
Whilst, as others have said, this seems to be a dig at the HRE, there is a similar issue that can arise with normal empires; when they shift ethics [or have them forcibly shifted via losing a liberation war], they don't always (ever?) rename themselves automatically in vanilla. As Imperial Fiefdom, the overlord empire will always be "Holy [origin_imperial_species.GetAdj] Empire" and have materialist ethic:
One empire in my game was called "Imperium of [capital]" then they first lost their capital to rebellion, then lost a liberation war to Peaceful Traders Megacorp.Whilst, as others have said, this seems to be a dig at the HRE, there is a similar issue that can arise with normal empires; when they shift ethics [or have them forcibly shifted via losing a liberation war], they don't always (ever?) rename themselves automatically in vanilla.
