Right after Germany Unifies, with either even above, France Decliars war upon the new state right away...

I can Just see Napoleon III standing up and declairing "The German People cannot be unified beneath the Bosche Helmet of the Prussians! Le Patre shall free them from opressive rule! And bring them under the benevolent rule of France.."

And then he rides out to do battle in Strassbourg, and gets captured....

and that was in 1862...i think....so isn't a 1851 a little ahistorical?
I don't even think Bismark was in goverment at that time...

That was 1871, but it came very close to unifying during the revolutions of 1848. The problem was that the unfiers in 1848 were liberals so the Prussian King would not cooperate with them, perhaps when you are Prussia you take a different path.

Yeah, the Seven Weeks War, over Schleswig and Holstein.
And it isn't that unrealistic. The common German people had been urging a united Germany since the dawn of the 19th century. As John Poole pointed out, Prussia could have unified Germany previously, if only a lesser portion of modern day Germany.

What I want to know is, are there any events whereby other countries than Prussia can unite Germany? Eg. Austria-Hungary creates a greater Germany, or one of the smaller German states takes over.
