They're actually various tactics lurking around, several of them very functional, all of them may need you to restart, it's after all a crappy starting position.

My personal Theodoro Ressource collection: (;
LP from Paradogs Gamer, attacked Genua from beginning: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLt96thROd3u9RlRwGpOOB6aNjczREv4Jw
Several tactics, including my favorite, Crimea fighting start: http://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/2ky9nu/theodoro_help/
Not Day0 war against Genua Tactic from Pellucid: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...urvive-as-Theodoro-My-quick-guide-(and-yours)!

I myself tried the Genua start, didn't work for me, then Crimea fighting start worked wonderful, interestingly I attacked Genua after that, when it was allied to France and Georgia + Austria (HRE) and Burgundy (DoF) and still managed to win, France and Austria had almost no transports and their own wars.

There was this one dude in the Show your Empire thread that had Turkey, Persia and most of Siberia, with 2 marches in Ukraine/Russia so I'd say it's doable (trying to make something similar ... I deleted my old save by mistake ;( so I had to restart)

I'm currently in 1721 with Theodoro, sadly my game seems to have died. CTD on the next auto-save every single time, can't proceed. Currently I own Crimea, the Caucasus, Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Balkans, Ukraine, most of the Hordes, Iran and Iraq and the Levant. I have a PU over Russia which I would've started integrating in the 1740s. It's actually not even that hard, all things considered - didn't have to restart once.

I've found the easiest way to survive the Crimean onslaught is to initiate it yourself. Ally Trebizond, get mil access in Circassia and georgia, then fabricate on Yedishkul. While your diplomat is working, ferry troops into Circassia. Once the claim is finished, then you can declare war for Yedishkul, and walk back and forth onto (and off of) Crimean lands. It'll keep their army in an eternal march (as long as you don't let them sit too long on your capital) if they do try to siege it, siege on of their provinces down (at this point you'll want mil access from Genoa) and walk across Genoese land to retake your capital. continue to do this until either the GH attacks or you can peace out for war reparations for the truce, Best part about this strategy is if you get lucky, you can keep Crimea at 0 allies until either the GH, Genoa, Circassia, or some other nation attacks, then pick up the pieces
