Is it possible to remove the complaince/ressistance mechanic for colony territories at peace?

Personally, I find it an annoying mechanic. I understand that it's more realistic this way, but I'd like to have a benefit from gaining new territory, rather than a drawback.

In fact, I hate the new complaince/ressistance mechanic and liked it much better when you just had to create cavarly and place it on the territory with high ressistance.

It just feels like extra micromanagement and nothing fun.

Is there any way to disable this in game without going back to the previous version? Or at least to disable it when that territory is already annexed?

design a cost effective garrison division

set it as national default in the relevant screen

make sure you keep producing enough of the required materiel

watch as the game automatically assigns garrisons to non-core territory without you having to shuffle cavalry

The console command resistance_system disables resistance entirely.

Alternatively you could mod RESISTANCE_TARGET_MODIFIER_IS_AT_PEACE in the defines to a value much lower than -10.

How is selecting one division for garrison EXTRA micromanagement, compared to deploying and distributing small cavalry divisions everywhere?

I think it's just the opposite. Before it was a lot of micromanagement. Now it's automated.

I don't think there's much point arguing about @Zeprion's taste
Perhaps not.

But when someone claims that a system where you can just go "design a division and set it as default garrison" is somehow more micro than building on-map cavalry divisions and manually positioning them, eyebrows are going to raise.

My biggest complain about this is that you have to check for complaince/ressistance in territories already annexed though a peace treaty, the fact that now you have to keep in check territories you already annexed too makes it more micro.

There are compliance and resistance map modes, you can switch between then in the occupation interface.

F6 and F7 are your friends, my dude. You can easily see where there's more resistance, and if that is the case you can just go change the law on the specific states through clicking on them in the map mode, or do it by country.
