Is it possible to have winamp playing without screen flicker issues?

I tried to search the forum and found a few posts related to this issue but none seemed to have solutions.

I get major flicker when I'm running winamp in the background to listen to music, so I have to play HoI2 silently which is a real bummer for me because I love listening to music.

Anyone know of a link to a workaround for this issue?

You could mod the music folder to put the music you want to listen to in the game.

Copy the mp3 files to the music folder and change the text files so they list the songs you want to hear.

Winapm works completely fine for me with no flickering at all.

try using foobar, its a really low memory using application

Hm. I actually had the same problem (but not on every computer), but mine was solved by simply minimizing winamp. But I'm guessing you've already tried that?
There's a small history of bugs with the visualization feature in winamp. You could also try disabling that.

I always play some playlist on youtube in the background, no problem whatsoever, try that and see if it works for you

Got this issue when winamp is telling me which song it has switched to

This thing used to annoy me a lot with original HOI2.
With DD and ARMA the flickering was much less annoying.
Minimizing WinAmp seemed to help, my best solution was to save the playlist, then run it with windows media player (yes i'm blasphemous to use that, i know).
But voila, no flickering at all.
