True at least paradox dose at least listen. However, its just plain dumb to have campaigns like this because alot of times it will screw some of the audience that its trying to win over. I was interested in hearts of iron 4 for a long time. I would buy it as soon as it came out why would I bother to fellow the marketing campaigns to games I already know I am going to buy day 1? IMO limited time content dose nothing but hurt fans both present and future. Should someone who just finds out about a game be screwed from getting all the content when they didn't know about the game? I mean there are tons of games, should you need to know all of the games and all of there marketing campaigns I think not.
God forbid people don't follow marketing campaigns
Well the DLC is for people who
did follow the marketing campaign. Unless I'm mistaken, I'm pretty sure I will get it as I faintly remember participating. I have no problem with it being available for everyone else in the future, perhaps sold in the Steam Store along with the plethora of other cosmetic DLCs that are sure to come. I do feel that those who did participate deserve the exclusivity, at least temporarily, simply on the fact that they participated, while those who didn't, well, did not. Perhaps I'm just an elitist asshole though.
On that note, despite the fact that I do own it, I feel that the 'exclusive' Catholic Majors Unit Pack should eventually be available to everyone as well. Perhaps I'm just an egalitarian asshole though.
Edit: According to my extensive research (i.e. looking at the DLC page), Europa Universalis IV had exclusive content that was available for people who participated in a sign-up campaign as well. That content is now available for $3.99. I don't see why the same wouldn't happen for the Hearts of Iron IV sign-up DLC if the demand is high enough.
