(oops, typo, i mean guild due actually.....)

Hey there, first post here.
I have a problem regarding AI/Inn. and more importantly, the guild due problem.

Well, in the manual it has an icon says hero is going to pay tax, however in game(I have steam version) it isn't there. Game will use 'is going home' when they are going to pay tax.

Problem emerges when I have Inns in game, they will shop->'going home' to inn -> (they don't pay taxes) -> and then it says 'looking for advanture'. After a few fights they will say they are buying new stuff and then rest at inns.....and repeat. The guide due(taxes)soon racks high and they still refuses to pay taxes.

I don't like this, that make the gold earned by them practically dissappear in the game. I can't get those money back.

Extortion doesn't help too. They only put moneys at stored in the building back. The taxes still on those heros.

This problem exists on party too......entire party will refuse to pay taxes unless I disband them.

And ideas/helps would be appreciated.

Don't use Inns?

They had their reasons in MFKS1, but due to mapsize and hero's lack of travel seem completely useless in MFKS2.

(As an interesting detail; "Lords" do pay taxes in Inns)

Inns are crucial to form defence spots in wich you can add dwarven towers and guard towers all side by side to the inn; they are useful even alone themselves in the borders of town. As the heroes tend to battle near when defending, they can hide and rest at the inn when fleeing, instead of running to their guild that can be too far and killed in the process. So inns are great defense items not only for parties.

As i have had concerns about economics on Majesty i myself realized they shouldn´t be taken that seriously as i did or as doomleika is doing here in this thread. Mostly even less when you have a strong economy with lots of gold earned by day already built. To loss money, on defence flags, or in the thing mentioned here, is nothing to really care about, as MJ2 lacks many things to be really a sim.

Paying taxes is coincidental: heroes do not perform a specific action for this.

If you misplace the inn by placing it near a guild, you might end up with collecting no taxes from the guild heroes, them retaining a lot of money.

One cope out is to use the magic bazaar as a way to speed up the money recycling process. Heroes will still hoard their money but the non taxable part will flow back to the economy much faster.

In this regard, building a commercial center comprising with a tower, a forge, a market place and a bazzaar really helps.
