Is it possible to control ally army in the war?

This is probably noob question but I was away from EU for years In my Venice demo game I was allied with Swiss, when Ottomans declared war on me Swiss detached 10k army with my army in Brescia. As soon as I tried to move stack to Dalmatia (sieged by Ottomans) Swiss troops returned home... Is there a way to control or at least have some influence on your allies armies in the war? This should be possible as it is logical for allies to plan&act together

I don't think so , but i think you're vassals and allies might lock onto your army.
That happened to me with my Ottoman game in the demo.

I wish. In my every 5-year harvest of my Mamelukes the heaviest losses I took occurred when the Crimeans and Wallachians dumped 15k soldiers into a province I was siegeing at nearly the supply limit.
