Is it possible to add the Maya provinces to Colonial Nation: Mexico?

I attacked the Aztecs and took all the land that used to belong to Maya and Zapotec.
Aside from that I currently have two colonies in Mexico.
After getting another three colonies in Mexico and the colonial nation Mexico is formed, will the former Maya and Zapotec provinces automatically be given to Mexico? Do I need to core it first? Can I forget about it completely?

yeah. you need 5 cores. so 5 colonies will do it. the rest will go to them

I understand your CN will get free cores on all of that too. Anything given to them after initially being formed they will have to core themselves.
