That but, more importantly, Quicksilver ate itself alive with internal squabbling towards the end that led them to essentially abandoning the planned design, putting lipstick on what they had, and rush it out the door.on the MOO3 forums and even got invited to be a beta tester (like Sencho/Admiral Howe) and seeing that game crash and burn was incredibly painful. Quicksilver just didn't have the resources to deal with that game's design ambition.
I really liked the game but it seem they kinda forgot to add the rest of the story elements. Also it lacked some balancing between large and small ships to make both viable. For me Endless Space was a bit of a letdown. Sure I enjoyed it but it just felt it was a bit shallow.
More than a bit for me. I've forced myself these last two days to see if Endless Space was worth another try. In doing so I discovered that Iceberg forgot to put any fun in the game. For me Endless Space was a bit of a letdown. Sure I enjoyed it but it just felt it was a bit shallow.
I am half expecting Faycron to jump into this thread and declare that MoO3 was a masterpiece and we are all idiots for not seeing it

Silly me for not noticing that sooner.
Was never disappointed, as I knew it would be complete shit from the moment I saw the first bit of gameplay. Still, it was a tragedy. EA killing another game series.
What's wrong with CC4? I thought it was ok.
I have actually enjoyed Endless Legend a fair amount, but I find most of that is because I find the maps gorgeous. I'm a sucker for art.Yeah that is unfortunately exactly my thought on both Endless Space and Endless Legend.
They are both well made 4x games, but I just feel so bored playing them!
Those games feel a bit like a huge Excel table.
No matter how well made an Excel table is playing with it is just no fun.
I was young(er) and based my purchases mostly on the box at the time. Was never disappointed, as I knew it would be complete shit from the moment I saw the first bit of gameplay. Still, it was a tragedy. EA killing another game series.
I haven't played it for awhile, but it will be exiting Early Access soon. Maybe check it out again when it's released?Starbound was quite a big disappointment for me. It had colossal amounts of hype, and at first it even seemed quite fun, but it got boring quite fast, and then they switched the direction they were going in, and I lost all interest I had in it. In fact, it felt like the developers themselves were hyped up for it, and the hyped died down.
