Is it impossible to make movable star base?

I use one weeks to make movable starbase

I try 2 ways to make it.

1. Add starbase speed and moving function.
-I change starbase's moving parts. but it doesn't work like max speed possiblity. etc...But it doesn't move anywhere

2. Make a ship which has starbase parts
-It doesn't work to. I add modfier and slot and etc. Ship is move and work but starbase part doesn't work.


So, anyone who knows to make moving starbase? I really want to make this

I doubt you could do this by any normal means, however you might be able to trick the game into doing mostly the same thing by using events. You could tie a vanilla starbase to a fleet (the moving starbase) via events that delete any ships the vanilla base builds, and then respawns them in the mobile fleet. You would use the vanilla base so you could still access the starbase interface for building queues and modules, and it could be described as your mobile starbase's homebase. I would set it up by adding a module "mobile starbase" that triggers an event when it completes. The event spawns your mobile starbase fleet (which is just a fleet with a new shipclass. You could create a custom shipclass that uses the same assets as a starbase), and saves that fleet and the starbase as event targets. Have an on_action for whenever a ship completes in the same system as the homebase that immediately deletes the ship and spawns a new one with the mobile base fleet. Have events that apply any benefits from modules or anything else built on the homebase to the mobile base using the saved event target. The only problem would be what happens if the homebase gets destroyed/occupied. But you could probably write an event that just moves it to a different starbase. It would be messy and counter-intuitive, but possibly functional.
