It feels like half a game to me. So much debth that could have been with more enemies, more fights, a variation of challenges. ( Remember empty sigils slots at the top of the first spire)

It was a great ride, but 25hrs of game is not worth the money I paid for it.
Bastard tier, "major location" is literally ONE room, not even area, ROOM.

Still, its a really good game, I just don't see the pricepoint value.

I tihnk one reason for it feeling like it's so short is that the areas are a lot smaller than in PoE for example. The battles are shorter and not as numerous with even fewer difficult fights.. i.e "bosses". While the spell creation system adds to the combat, it was overall pretty lacking due to most encounters simply being tank and spank basically. No significant challenges combat-wise at all imo.

The intent is also that you replay it and see the changes various choices introduce. There's three potential paths through the game, and as far as I can tell three significantly different world states at the beginning. In that respect 25 hours per playthrough may be a little on the long side; Alpha Protocol was around 20, and that could feel a little long winded the third or fourth time through.

Yeah but the games didn't ended before you could enter the elf city or the caves beneath the baldur's gate. This game is very rushed and it feels like a half a game.I finished the last act in a 1-2 hours. It is just go around and kill everyone.

this game feels like a part 1 of 2 because it really is you stay in the tiers your hole campaign has taken place in Florida and when the prospect of invading or conquering the rest of the US dawns on you as a player the game ends

there is no question in my mind that there needs to be a sequel to this game where you continue on from where you left of roughly probably should have a time gap though for all the consolidation of the tiers you need to do

For some of us this is actually a good thing. I have limited time these days and I'd much rather play a 25 hour game than a 100 hour one, because there's no guarantee I'll have time to finish the latter. I would much rather have 25 hours of intensely interesting gameplay, too, than 100 hours interspersed with memorable moments - that's what PoE was for me.

As far as pricepoint goes, I think that's a silly argument. There are plenty of 60 dollar games these days that have 10 hours of gameplay or less. Tyranny was cheaper and has boatloads of replay value. One playthrough may take 25 hours, but I feel like there's easily three playthroughs worth of material here, if not many more. It's some of the best money I've spent this year, and I haven't even finished it yet.

And to the person who said this is like LotR ending before Sam and Frodo get into Mordor...you do realize there were three books, right? And that the first one ended way, way before Mordor?

I don't have to finish the game to have an opinion on it, silly bird. It came out less than a week ago and I have things to do. I'm saying I already feel I got my money's worth up to the point I'm at now.

im not saying you do im saying that your experience with the game is incomplete thus once you complete it you will have a better understanding of the real reason so many people feel it is half a game

Truth to be said, I used to use this arguement (about Alpha Protocol and Mass Effect), but now I feel myself not so convinced with it.
I mean, well... I need to complete everything between this choices to see everything I skipped between, every annoying fight, every non-changing dialog, every loading screen...

Pretty much this.

Also, Ive made the mistake of starting with the anarchy route first. Being a lacky to one of the inempt Archons or even the resistance feels quite... beneath your Faithbinder after that.

I like the game, more than PoE, but it's hard to continue the game at a certain point. I don't understand where the game is driving me, I fell that I have no control upon my PC.
I sided with the Chorus, because the game forced to side with someone, and now, after talking to the other seal binder via courrier, she tells me I might be an Archon. Ok, that's nice, but the game continues to force me to work with the Chore.
Yeah, I know that I could betray him at some point, but this negates the whole main quest for me: find the traitor to Kyros. I have some evidences for the Chore and the Disfavored, but nothing that could incriminate on a side or another.

The other seal binder (can't remember her name) tells you that you should try to end edicts.
When attacking the Regent in the castle (sorry I play in french, no idea what are the real names in english), you can kill him, and then find out that the edict is always on, because he had a baby with Graven Ashe's daughter.
So, i wanted to kill the baby (you're supposed to be evil, right?) But no, the game decides to give the baby to Nerat, so I can't end the edict. Why tell me that I have to end the edicts, if the game does not permit me to ?

And it ends half-way. It's like if LoTR ended just before Frodo and Sam entered Mordor.
Two Towers did end when Frodo and Samuel were at the edge of Mordor. I assume we'll get a sequel/DLC that continues it and gives us our Return of the King.

I'm actually regretting getting the cheapest version of the game, since I'm loving it so much. I spent like $90 on PoE and felt pretty let down by it, so I didn't shell out for the extras with Tyranny. It's not as long, but I feel like the quality is higher.
