I am trying it for last few times currently and I didn't get it with massive trade income multiple times with PERFECT quality. Just lost aganist someone that is fanatic xenophobe with tomb world capital.
This happened like 4 times, I am not claiming it is bugged just asking if someone else has smiler experince so I can make a bug report

It's still RNG based.

You can increase your chances but it's not guaranteed to go to you even with perfect nomination.

I don't think it's bugged since in MP games we had it go to almost all different nomination strengths.

it is randomised i.e. it's not guaranteed to go to who you'd always expect. someone made a post detailing the weights behind the decision.

I think it's bugged, just like the elections in democracies. At least something changed as I'm not getting the market anymore despite having nominated the planet with the most trade in the whole galaxy + 2 boosts, and in elections no matter which candidate I vote for to get 60%+ it's always the one that previously was leading the polls is elected.

In my current game I've also got the infinity machine event twice. Literally two infinity machines. On the other hand I'm not getting rubricator anymore, I used to get it almost in every game but haven't had it in the last 20+ restarts...

Well, but for my current game the starting position is just perfect, I'm having a very fun campaign with a diplo/galactic emperor and megastructures focused build.

Having a strong planet in the Galactic Market Nomination is far from a guarantee to win.

In a large galaxy with many empires, you're still far less likely to win than you are to lose, even if you have a perfect rating and everybody else is just weak or adequate. That's especially true when there are multiple Megacorps in the Galaxy, or if you the market nomination happens relatively late in the game where most AIs are sitting on a large Influence Buffer and just spam-nominate their planets.

Yep, it is bugged. Perfect nomination score does pretty much nothing and some backwater with 0 eligibility usually wins the nomination. Save the 700 influence on something better or use the console and switch to AI planets and remove their nominations. I had to remove 3 AI nominations all who had weak eligibility before my "perfect" world won.

This happened to me all the time, and always the same AI empire got it (I play with a fixed number of pre-made empires, it's never random).

I was the only Megacorp in the galaxy, and it always went to a tree of life hivemind. ALWAYS, every game they would get it.

After I deleted that empire from my games, I started getting it.

So there just might be a bug tbh, somewhere. I don't see how it can always go to the same empire in every game, smells of a buggy loop somewhere.

yea but... a tomb world wins?
Why would it not win? If you look at the modifiers in the linked wiki article, the only planet type that has any effect on the chances of winning at all is the Ecu. And even then, it only guarantees that you have a strong rating if you nominate it, so any other planet than can get the same rating through other means like high trade value (which AI capitals often have, since they love Clerks) or pure luck on the weight roll, will have the same chance of winning as the Ecu. It being a Tomb World is not a penalty by itself.

So I'm not sure what you're expecting. The system isn't very detailed, and it doesn't really reward you for having a strong trade economy on your planet... but those are problems with the design of the nomination system, not bugs in the system.

Which isn't to say that the system isn't bugged - it may still be. But your expectations on the outcome of the nominations do not at all represent that expected outcome of the system as it is designed.

The galactic market isn't bugged, it's just very imbalanced. There should be a much wider spread of winning weights based much more heavily on trade power.

I'd also be in favor of the custodians adding multiple market hub winnners and allowing specialized trade buildings - the Galactic Stock Exchange, perhaps - only on planets that are market hubs.

It belongs to xenophobe empire that has tomb world start, It's weight was weak I checked and I reverted back save multiple times, he wins consistently
Other time it was a hive mind that consistently got it

Before 3.0 I used to get it 7 out of 10 times. Since 3.0, Not even once, but that's only 3 or 4 actual games so far.

What bugs me more though is that conquering the system housing the galactic market doesn't give you control over it - instead it moves either to another system of the same empire, or one in an entirely different empire. I have never managed to gain control over the Galactic Market if i didn't get it initially, even after conquering the entire galaxy, I don't get control over the GM - and I'd say that is definitely wrong!

Personally I find it odd that we even have a physical location for the Galactic Market: even here on Earth, in 2021, we trade almost everything virtually! There is no need for a physical market today, on Earth - why should there be in 2200+?

I think it's more like stock market so housing its center helps

Actually, all the important trades on the stock market are done online nowadays. The era of brokers shouting out on the wall street stock exchange is past. At best you need to house the servers handling galaxy-wide trade orders.

yea but since its in your country allready tax and other stuff are more efficent and cheaper.
