Maybe i just don't get it. In the 769 start the kingdom of lombardy is a agnatic cognatic gavelkind realm and Desiderius has 4 daughters and one son.

After some Time my firstborn daughter becomes my only heir, no gavelkinding between the girls and the boy is just eleminated from inheritance while still being the one who is groomed as heir.

i played one game through until her inheritance but as she is married from the beginning it seems like a certain Game over afterwards...

Is it some wicked Charlemagne event where i do not get a notice? I married one of my daughters to him.

For some reason your son has become heir to a city, which has disqualified him from inheritance. That's the first thing that sticks out to me.

In my Reaper's game, both Charlemagne and Karloman died without male issue, and Francia was inherited by Desiderius' grandson. He was the offspring of Desi's one son and a Karling mother and went on to found the HRE. So I think it's just bad luck for you.

ah, i see. it is the capital city of a merchant republic i founded in Tripolitania. So it has nothing to do with Charlemagne. It is really strange. I started the same game, again and managed to change to elective. My first son is still out of inheritance and i cannot even nominate him, although i even gave a county to him in Italy.

The merchant republic had several changes in its leadership and my son never inherited its capital. He is just blocked.

At the moment the Kingdom goes to the duke of spoletto and the rest to the grandson of the oldest daughter.... who is not of my dinasty, of course.
