Does anyone know if the counter-reformation is removed if you convert to a non-Catholic faith? Does it make a difference if you concede to rebels versus taking the decision directly? I'd like to keep the extra missionaries.

Yes. At least it did in 1.7

There should be no difference.
Also you will lose it anyway somewhere between 17-18 centuries.

I noticed that if you join evangelical league being counter-reformation catholic, you lost the last one modifier.
That's perfect. Anyone confirms it?
